In the year 2022, Shea Roberson took a bold step and established Prestige Plumbing Werks with a clear goal in mind - to create something extraordinary. The Journey to Prestige

Hailing from New Hartford, Connecticut, Shea pursued a degree in biological sciences from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Post-graduation, he explored different career paths before discovering his passion for construction. The physical aspect of the work was enticing, but what truly intrigued him was the problem-solving and technical expertise required in the trade.

Determined to become a licensed plumber, Shea embarked on a career spanning over a decade, including two years at Van Allen Plumbing and Heating and ten years at C.H. Nickerson and Co. Inc. These experiences provided invaluable training and mentoring, allowing him to work alongside some of Connecticut's most skilled plumbers.

The Vision Behind Prestige Plumbing Werks

While Shea's career was flourishing, his entrepreneurial spirit never waned. Coming from a family of business owners, he understood the profound impact a well-established company could have on its employees, customers, and the community. After meticulous planning and preparation, he took the leap to establish Prestige Plumbing Werks with his good friend Lauren Howard—despite facing skepticism from those who deemed it a risky venture.

Lauren's story provided a contrast to Shea's aspirations. Lauren always harbored a desire to own a business but not necessarily in plumbing. His entrepreneurial ventures included various pursuits such as being a real estate agent, investor, and owning a photography business, in addition to working full-time as a plumber. 

He worked 5 years at Van Allen and 9 years with C.H Nickerson. In mid-2023, Lauren, feeling worn out from industrial plumbing, sought a change. He decided to transition into entrepreneurship in the residential plumbing industry. After offering to assist Shea in some plumbing work, a significant life event persuaded Lauren to extend a helping hand to Shea by keeping his business afloat during a challenging time. Eventually, Shea realized the necessity of accepting help, and the two began discussing a potential partnership. This led to Lauren officially joining Prestige Plumbing Werks on September 1st, 2023. Lauren’s dedication to helping grow the business was immediately evident.

Now it is clear that the team Shea and Lauren are as partners is a powerful one. Consistently using each others strengths to their advantage and working on their weaknesses to become better for the business each day. Building systems and processes to elimate the same problems most other plumbing companies struggle with. Despite all the business work that needs to be done they still find time to learn to be better plumbers.

Close to two years later, the business had made significant progress by hiring new employees, actively supporting local entities, sponsoring local events and charities, winning accolades like the "Business of the Year for Burlington Ct," and hitting their own self-created milestones for performance and standards within their business.
