"Great Job and I Should Have Found these Guys a Long Time Ago!"
I met this company at Tavern day in Burlington back a few months ago. I had spoken to them about previous work, had questions in regards to my well water filtration system, and of course had a leak coming out through some pipes that needed to be replaced.

Tyler was excellent in replacing our well tank and was also able to diagnose a separate plumbing issue on the fly.

Water Treatment
Hard water contains high levels of minerals that cause rusting in your pipes and plumbing appliances. Hard water could even block pipes as calcium sediments build up on the inner surfaces. It’s rare, but hard water can cause water heaters to explode. Residents in Litchfield County are at more significant risk due to the 112 PPM water hardness.
Curious about the effects of hard water, the signs of a hard water supply, and benefits of installing a water softener? Schedule a Water Test Today!

Drain Cleaning
Different clogs call for unique unblocking methods. We try to unclog your drains cost-effectively. For that to happen, we start with a thorough, non-invasive inspection of your drains using state-of-the-art waterproof cameras - we don’t speculate because it wastes time and money! This technique allows our plumbers to identify the cause of clogging, the size of a clog and the exact location of a clog, so we can remedy it as efficiently as possible.
Sump Pumps
Installing a sump pump and waterproofing system is the least disruptive and most effective way to keep a basement dry - and keep it dry all the time! Our certified plumbers can install a complete sump pump system in just one visit to your home.
Kitchen & Bath

Frequently Asked Questions
West Hartford is one of eight member towns served by the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC), Connecticut's regional water and sewer authority. MDC water comes entirely from surface sources in the northwest hills — primarily the Barkhamsted Reservoir (30.3 billion gallons) and the Nepaug Reservoir (9.5 billion gallons), both in remote watersheds about 20 miles from Hartford. That source water matters: MDC water is notably soft (about 15 mg/L, or roughly 1 grain per gallon), and the remote watershed has historically meant low risk of contamination at the source.
But West Hartford homes themselves are a different story. Significant numbers of homes here were built between 1900 and 1950, which means cast iron drain stacks, clay sewer laterals running under root-rich yards, and water heaters in confined basements connected to a century of accumulated infrastructure.
Wells
A small number of West Hartford properties — typically larger estates and a few rural fringes — still have private wells. If your home is one of them, the fundamentals below apply.
How can I tell if my home is on a well?
A pressure tank in the basement, no quarterly bill from the MDC, and a well cap somewhere in the yard.
How often should well water be tested?
Connecticut DPH recommends annual basic indicators (coliform, nitrate, pH, hardness, iron, manganese), lead at least once, arsenic/uranium/radon at least once and ideally every five years, and VOCs at least once.
Should I be concerned about arsenic or uranium in my well?
Yes — these are worth testing on any Connecticut bedrock well. The 2020 USGS/CT DPH study found 3.9% of Connecticut wells exceeded the EPA arsenic standard and 4.7% exceeded the uranium standard. Neither has taste, smell, or color.
What is short-cycling?
The pump turning on and off rapidly instead of running for sustained periods. Almost always caused by a failed pressure tank, a leak, or a worn pressure switch — and it's the fastest way to burn out a well pump.
How long do well pumps last?
12 to 20 years for quality submersibles. Hard water, iron, or sediment shortens that.
